Only 1 sleep to go. Applications are still be accepted right up
to when you arrive on Friday 4th December.
For those of
you that have sent in your applications, but you haven’t received any
information back in the mail, please don’t panic. The last lot of receipts were mailed Tuesday
night, and we had more arrive on Wednesday.
The information that was sent out is the Receipt information that can be
found on the website. We will sort out
tomorrow night if we haven’t received your applications. What you could possibly do is to fill in
another health form, which will save you time on the night.
If you have any
queries, you can either email me up till 2.00 pm, or you can call me on mobile
0409 123 043.
See you up
there.

PLEASE NOTE:
All Units MUST get a Site Clearance receipt, before they leave the site on
Sunday. Note:- Units are free to
leave after Final Parade - but remember you must have your site clearance
receipt! If your Venturer Unit does not
get a site clearance receipt, we will assume that you didn't clean your site. Your Unit will therefore be receiving an invoice from Vic Gathering for $50.00 for cleaning.

Monday 23rd November 2009
Applications are still being accepted up
till Friday 4th December.
In fact,
you can apply on the night at the start of Vic Gathering at Gilwell, but we
would prefer some notice. So if your
Unit is still thinking of attending, please send an email to Donna at vgather@netlink.com.au
ASAP and let her know how many
Venturers and Leaders there may be, then get to work on your application forms
and payments. You can either send them
in the mail (Vic Gathering, PO Box
420, Heidelberg
Vic 3084 before Tuesday 1st December)
or you can bring it with you on the night.
Application
forms, information etc can be downloaded from the website. If you have any other queries, please don’t
hesitate to contact me at vgather@netlink.com.au.
Currently
we have a lot of activities planned and we would prefer not to cancel some of them
due to low numbers, so if you could let me know ASAP your possible numbers,
that would be fantastic, and that would mean that we could keep all of our
activities that we have planned for you.
Thanks

VG is not far
away now. If any Units/Venturers are
still wishing to attend VG and you haven’t put in your application forms yet,
you still have time to do so (and if you get them in by Wednesday 2nd
December, and you have included all your paperwork you still have the
chance to get an Express Lane ticket which will
enable you to move through the Check In queue faster on the Friday night).
For
applications received by the 14th November the cost per Venturer is $60.00 and for
Leaders is $15.00. For any applications received after
the 14th November, there will be an additional $5.00 late fee per Venturer. If you are trying
to get your paperwork together, and you think you will miss out on getting it
to us by the 14th November, please send us an email at vgather@netlink.com.au to let us know, and we will be able to work something out (there will
be a time limit on these though).

Wednesday 9th September 2009
Planning is
currently underway for this year’s VG. The committee meetings are underway to create
this year’s event.
VG 2009 is
celebrating the 50th year that VG/MG (Vic Gathering and Melbourne
Gathering) have been running.
Activities are
being confirmed, and hair is being ripped out; All this for you, The Venturers.
We do hope that many of you will be able to attend this
year’s VG. This year's event will once again be held at Gilwell Park,
from what we gathered ('scuse the pun), it was a great
location from all points of view, plenty of space, plenty of shade and plenty
of fun!
Photos from last year's event are being uploaded to the
website and should be ready soon.
The information booklet will be sent out to Units in the
next week or so, and all the forms and other information will be available on the
website shortly.
As I am new to working on the website, please bear with me,
as it takes a little longer, but we will get there in the end.
Any questions, activity ideas or inquiries about VG can be
directed to vgather@netlink.com.au
or call any of the people on the contacts page.
Thanks
